The Fernandez & Enzo that is not a Ferrari

This entry is inspired by this other entry, 'The Woos" over at Alina Grace's Journey.  :p  I've tried to blog about all those outings with The Fernandez over the past week and I just don't know where to start!  I lost count how many times we met up!  Lols...
Picture above taken from wine.dine.everything fine.

It started off with a random "What you guys doing tonight?" over MSN last week and hours later, we were cozying up at Buonasera in SS2 for a makan (dining) outing together!  Besides spoiling us with all those good food (I had Rosemary Chicken and it was... heavenly), Enzo kept us very well entertained too.  It being a Monday, Enzo (the chef) was rather free and kept pulling up a chair to our table, telling us funny stories.  We laughed so much!
Before we knew it, we were already making another dinner plan for New Year day.  One last go at Enzo's turkey before they are all gone after the season.  Lols...
Besides the turkey, Enzo dished out a new batch of freshly baked 'lava choc cake'.  It was sinful, yes.  Still, all three of us had one each except for Alina.  She had a chocolate eclair instead.  The two men actually requested for extra chocolate syrup!!!  Unbelievable! Hehehe....
Somehow, thru that dinner, two meals was planned. A dimsum brunch with The Fernandez for the next day at 'A Little Dim Sum Place'...
... and a dinner outing together with Enzo for the day after tomorrow at 'Saffron'! Crazy eh? As if we live to eat huh? Lols... Seriously, all these have to end by this week. It is a lot of hardwork to burn calories you know! I was just able to fit into my bare midriff halter neck and now it is flabs that is baring all over again. Wtf? Lols...
As planned, met up at this quaint little restaurant in Hartamas called 'A Little Dimsum Place' the next afternoon.  The photos above are courtesy from Alina's Blog.  If you wish to know more about this place, click here.  The dimsum there is not bad at all. The 'siu yuk' (roasted pork), sunshine bun (no, not made of my Sunshine but some mouth watering egg yolk cream oozing out from it) and all the other varieties of dimsum were in fact rather tasty.  It doesn't have that fridge' taste, if you get what I mean.  Fresh!  It is just unfortunate that I over indulged during the festive season and was still feeling a little blek!
Though not really a big fan of durians, we find the Durian Crepe served there were actually pretty good! If you were ever there to try this out, request it to be served only when you wanna eat it.  It is best eaten chilled!
Having nothing else to do for the rest of the day, the husband enticed The Fernandez to a Volkwagon's showroom not too far away. Actually he just wanted to 'poison' Alina to get a VW. Hahaha... Anyway, the guys had so much fun test driving all the cars there.
From VW Golf GTI...
 to VW Scirocco.
From Scirocco, to VW Golf.

I hopped in on one of the test drive. They practically violated the car throughout! I should've video it but my hands were to busy holding on for dear life! Lols..... The salesman was sitting at the back with me and I thought he actually turned a little green at one of the cornering! :p  Even the VW Golf 1.4 is impressive enough!
While the big boys busy trying out the 'power' cars, this little princess too were busy trying out cars.  From VW Beetle to Polo and to don't know what else.  Hahaha... She simply love this cute red beetle!  She would actually climbed into the driver seat, closed the door, strapped on the seat belt before pretending to drive.  I finds it pretty amazing for a 3 years old!  Strapping on the seat belt?  And once, a lady actually went ooo aahhing at her and she just tell the lady that the car is out of gas!  hahahaha...
As all of us are a big fan of the au-naturale snow ice served at Snowflake, off we went, to their Kota Damansara Outlet to cool down after a hot day.  It is perpetually packed there.  We were lucky enough to get a table! :)
Love it cause it is not drizzled with rainbow colour syrups, it is not super sweet, it doesn't comes filled with weird coloured jellies like those in ABC (local mixed ice dessert).  Those served in Snowflake only comes in barley, sweet potatoes, taro balls and etc.  100% natural goodness.  Do try it out if you wanna taste something different.  They even have a website too!
Again, as planned, we met up with Enzo (the chef, not the Ferrari) for some Indian Cuisine at Saffron in Sri Hartamas the following night!  Eating again!  Hahaha...  And Indian food are very rich.  All those coconut cream, milk, meat, carbo... oh goodness.   Till now, I've yet to garner enough courage to step onto the scale. Those 'bare midriff', 'barebacks', bares everything definitely need to be migrated to the back of the wardrobe for time being!

Comparatively, I prefer those Indian cuisine at 'Passage Thru India' more.  It is not bad at Saffron, the food is good too, just somewhat a little something is missing.  But then again, the price is pretty reasonable.  So that alone is enough to offset the 'missing little something'.  The amount of food we had that night would have cost a bomb over at 'Passage Thru India'.  A whole table full of food to feed 5 adults and a kid came to only about RM250+ (approx. US$80).  Cheap right?
Enzo brought us to this place for dessert after that.  According to him, Faundry serves wacky cakes... lols... By the word 'wacky', I already have images of cakes in its' wackiest form conjuring up in my head!  Lols... Hmm.. like a 'Ferris Wheel' cake or a 3d clock shaped cake or a slice of cake with a huge colourful mushroom on top of it.  You know, those that would probably be served out of The Burrow (family home of the Weasley's in Harry Potter)!  Lols....
But no, it was not wacky in that Weasley's sense.  It was wacky cause they served mille crepe and not many places serve this cake!  :)  Hahaha....  We ordered a Vanilla Mille Crepe for Alina, a Chocolate Mille Crepe for myself, a Chocolate Moist for the princess, a Cheese Cake for the husband and Enzo, I couldn't quite recall what he had.  He gobbled it down too fast.  Didn't have a chance to ask what it was!  Lols...

Though I was being told by a friend last night that Foundry's standard has dropped tremendously as compared to a long time ago, I still find their cakes yummilicious the Monday that we were there!  Now I only can imagine what it might have tasted like 'a long time ago'!
The husband and I enjoyed their company very much this past week.  I know I had.  Especially with this little angel, Caitlin.  Alina & Mike's precious.  Though only 3, she is such a gem!  I never knew a 3 years old can be so well behaved like her.  Had so much fun teasing her and teaching her silly stuff.  Alina kept rolling her eyes at me... hahahahaha.....

Anyway, here are some info for you on all the restaurants we had terrorized during this festive season.  Hope it helps!
