We are the biggest illusionist

A statement a friend made recently made so much sense to me. Finally, someone who understand what I've been saying all these while. Finally, someone who jived with me. That is, that everything in our life, relationship, friendship, money, materials... are just an illusion.
***
So what if we have the best wife/husband?
So what if we have plenty of friends/non at all?
So what if we are bestowed abundantly/not a dime at all?
So what if we carries a Chanel/Gucci/Prada/a pasar malam brand?
***
End of day, the best wife/husband is just a wife/husband. A registered legitimate companion. Most probably will not last till 'death do us part' basing on the current divorce rate. Btw, just found out another couple, a friend of ours, who gotten married a year before us, had just filed for divorce a year ago. Marriages are fragile. So, please just enjoy the moment and let's not talk about the future. Cause future will always be 'future'. It'll never arrive.
***
The friends would just be 'the' friends, who come and go to suit our different needs along different part of our life. Dancing friends, clubbing friends, bitching friends, coffee friends, liquor friends, mahjong friends, parenting friends and so forth... No matter how many bf/bff/friends we have, end of day, it will still 'me' that matters most. Even if we have thousands of friends (which seems quite easy these days with FB), as long as we are unhappy, so what if we have thousands of friends?
***
The money are just a commodity to exchange for food on the table, a roof over the head, warm clothes over our back. That's why I can never comprehend the stuck-up-ness of some people who 'think' they are rich and that, it is a big deal. Like a real big deal like that. End of the day, we still goes back to the same soil. The only difference would just probably be the material of the packaging. Or whether you are bury with a loud fanfare at Nilai Memorial or quiet affair at the public burial ground. Honestly, when I die, you think I would care if it is a loud fanfare or quiet affair? Please just get it done and over with so I can rest in peace...

The Chanel/Gucci/Prada/pasar malam brand would just be another bag that we use to put all our illusion in it. The lipstick that we think would make us look prettier, the mirror that we need to affirm our 'look', the purse filled with money that make us feel safe & secure, the latest handphone model that affirm our 'make believe' status and last but not least, the Chanel/Prada/Gucci that makes us feel 'atas'.
***
We, human being, are just so pathetic sometimes. Are they even relevant. What was I saying again?
