Beautifully Imperfect

My stomach is growling now. Not sure if it was because of hunger or the whirling of washing machine due to the poisoning. The toxicity is still causing much uncomfortness within whenever food are consumed. Sigh...

The other day, over happy hours at Quattro, a friend mentioned this; BEAUTIFUL IMPERFECTION or was it IMPERFECTLY BEAUTIFUL or BEAUTIFULLY IMPERFECT. Cant really remember which one exactly. The music was kinda loud plus the beer and good company, it was kinda intoxicating after couple of hours, can't really concentrate much. He said to ponder over it and so, here I am, pondering.... at 1 o'clock in the morning...

Personally, I think it meant imperfections are beautiful and that perfections are plain/boring/dull. An imperfect tooth that created a beautiful crooked smile. An imperfect housewife that causes many silly laughters in the house. An imperfect facial features that makes one stand out. An imperfect plan that created many unexpected pleasant surprises. A death that brought a family together. A dent in a car that makes it unique? :p Basically, I guess it meant every darkness has its' brighter side. In other word, be positive/optimistic. Look at the brighter side of things instead of otherwise.

Yeah... that should be that for me. I like it - BEAUTIFULLY IMPERFECT. It makes sense. Sometimes, when we tried too hard to be perfect, we forgot the little things in between. The casualness of friendships, the lovingness of people who matters, the 'warmness' of our family, the voice of our laughters, the mere contentment in life. Or when we are too concentrated to pick on the bad of others that we overlook their goodness. Or when we are too frustrated over a bad situation that we forgot to understand why it happened.

Anyway, it's natural human behaviour to react under the influence of emotions. Just as long one understand it eventually, it is suffice. No need to say more. It is already beautifully imperfect by itself.

Your post reminds me of wabi-sabi, the Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfection. :)
