A Pleasant Surprise!
It's a good day today cause it's my birthday. I am officially one year wiser, smarter, prettier, lovelier and hopefully, richer too. Hehehe... Woke up to some sweetest birthday wishes on my handphone today and more on the Facebook. Can never 'thank you' enough. I think Facebook should consider having a tagline that says "With Facebook, you will never be alone!" Hehehe... :)
There were no special plan for today. There will still be salsa class tonight. Definitely not skipping class. Had lunch with an ex-colleague who now shared an office with us. Yeah, I know, it's complicated. Yesterday we had my birthday lunch in the office but since he cant make it yesterday, he offered to buy lunch today. Having nothing else to do, why not? We went did some shopping (me mostly) and settled for lunch at Flying Chillies. It was good. :)
As I was in New Balance shop, my phone rang with an unfamiliar number blinking on it's screen. I was like... hmm... should I answer? Answered it anyway. At the back of my head was like "Whatever you are selling, I am not interested".
Caller: May I speak to Gladys please?
Me: Yeah, that's me. Yes?
Caller + hundred others started singing: Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Gladys, happy birthday to you......! (followed by a lot of talking and echos... can't hear clearly)
Me: *speechless* + *could this be a radio show, am on AIR?* + *don't say bad words, don't say bad words...* Wow... thanks.
Caller + hundred others: *lots of talking & echos... something about calling to wish you Happy Birthday*
Me: And, this is from?
Caller: Terri Chai..
Me: Oh..... Aiyah, send la a group in front of my gate, complete with presents to sing...
Terri Chai: Yalor yalor...
Caller + hundred others: Aiya, we work la... just say thank you only.
Me: Thanks! :)
Seriously, thanks Terri. That was a really nice surprise! And Ishwin & Jason, you guys ROCK!!!
Salt
Just got back from watching SALT. It was ok. The character was really cool. Can jump and drop a hundred times also wont crack a bone one. Other than training, the Russian must have injected metal to fortified their bones. :p

An Afternoon In Singapore!
Spent an afternoon in Vivo City Singapore yesterday with my girlfriend Jenny. Not exactly an afternoon la... more like couple of hours only. Arriving at 3:30pm and left at 9pm. Yeah, like that also shiok. Hahaha...
The husband has a meeting in Singapore and I begged to tag along and promised he won't even notice of my existence. I promised to be GOOD. :) About 45 minutes into our journey, I regretted my decision. The air conditioner in the car suddenly went kaput (malfunctioned)! Totally un-revivable. Yeah, you can imagine the rest. By time we arrived at our destination 3 hours later, we were all sweaty, oily and harassed. I was worst. My hair was all tangled from the wind.
After dropping them off at their meeting venue, I took over the wheel and drove myself to Vivo City. The cool air conditioner in Vivo were heavenly. Met Jenny there and the first thing I told her was, I need her comb and I need to go to the ladies. Lols... The wind tangled my hair so badly that it was impossible to untangle them. I decided to just bun it up. After some ICI retouching (make up), I felt like superstar again!
We went for tea at Kim Gary; I think it is the first HK style cafe in Spore cause Jenny was excited about it. The moment we sat down, she insisted that I should open up the present she gotten for me. Even before we place our food orders. Part 2 birthday present actually. Part 1 was that pearl earrings she gotten for me as advance birthday when she came to visit in May. That woman is mad I tell you... hahaha... Nevertheless, who doesn't love presents. I would say, keep them coming!
She gotten me a lovely Coach wristlet and a magnet which has my name & description on it. I super love it all lor... Especially the wristlet. Love the colour too. Nice! Can bring out for yumcha sessions! Thanks babe!
She even gotten me this cute little cake complete with candle and insisted that I light it up.
I thought I could get away with the 'lighting' up part but she actually purposely went and bought a lighter for it. How to not light it up la after she had put in so much effort...? Lols... The mini cake is seriously pretty and yummy. Since she is on diet, I walloped it all. Love love it!
Our girls' time was cut short when Harrison's meeting ended pretty early and he came to join us with his associate. We went for a little shopping after that. ;)
In the evening, Harry (Jenny's husband) came to join us for dinner after work. It was again, a birthday dinner for the three of us - Harry (3rd), Harrison and I. It was a lovely dinner. The company was even better! We left at about 9pm after dropping them off at their house and got back to our's slightly over midnight. Here are some of my loots from the metropolitan down South...
Cute poo poo bags dispenser and it's refill for those doggies outings. Super convenient & chic!
Some nice and cheap earrings. Only S$3/pair.
Also salvaged some cool apparels from their ZARA too! They were like only S$19/S$16 per piece. Though just for couple of hours, it was not bad at all.
Oh yeah... did I mention that I also bumped into Big Cow at that BBQ crab stall in Seremban? I think we really yau yun lor... (got fate)... :) What's the probability of bumping into a fellow blogger in KL, who is also originally from Kluang, in a restaurant in another state? She sms-ed me later that evening agreeing that the food sucks! Lols...

Celebration of the Accidental Babies!
Last Saturday, we gathered in the evening to celebrate BIRTHDAYS!
For him, Jason-san (1st Aug) - who shops better than any woman...
For yours truly (5th Aug) - the worst women shopper you'll ever find...
For Wai Kong (also 5th Aug) - who tell good jokes in detail and enjoy flying RC planes...
For Harrison (8th Aug) - who loves his newly acquired Barney purple BB jacket to bits...
And I call us all, the 'accidental babies'. Lols... Cause my boss always says those born in August are conceived in December, the month of parties - Christmas, New Year. Too much booze thus accidental. Hehehe.... Wai Kong insisted that he is not. Whatever la.. denial is good sometimes. :p
The initial plan was dinner somewhere in KL then proceed to Modesto for a night of salsa-ing. But we ended up with a Plan B which was, to go for bbq crab in Seremban then proceed back to our place for more drinking and cake cutting. Almost another Plan C when we saw how horrendous the traffic was but thank God it eased up a little towards the highway. Plan B it is!
We had claypot lou shu fen (a kind of noodle). It was yucky. Gluey in fact.Mantis prawn fried with salted eggs - best dish of the night.
BBQ marmite crab. The reason we were there. Hmm, I thought it tasted rusty. :p Other than this, we also had cheese crab. I finds that tasteless. We also had a plate of vege and fried noodle. Birthday mah... must have noodles.
Verdict?: This restaurant is situated further down past the Seremban market. Can't remember the name but it is the second shop after the traffic light. Don't bother going there to eat. Not worth the money & effort. :p According to my friends, their standard dropped. It used to be superb. :( It's just a pity then.
After dinner, back at home, we had a great time laughing to jokes and chilling out. And I officially declare that I obsolutely hate Kahlua. Who drinks that stuff????!
Since there were 4 of us celebrating birthdays, they got us two cakes. An American Cheesecake from RT Pastries (I love RT) and a Chocolate Jelly Cake from QJelly. Super yummy cause there were absolutely nothing left within minutes. Really... no bluffing... lols!
4 fellas to cut two cakes. Which one of that many limbs are mine?Am happy that there are so many 'accidental' babies this time round celebrating together. I bet all of us had had a great time. Thanks guys for putting all this together. It was simple and awesome. Appreciate it tonnes!
Tiny Flowers
I scattered some seeds I bought off the supermarket two months back (I think). According to the pack, it says it will start to sprout within a week. Week after week, no sprouting in sight. After about a month or so, I finally saw a few small greens emerging from the dark soil.
To date, of the 50 seeds or so that I've scattered, only 3 fought against all odds and rise above. Nevertheless, still miserable tiny looking leaves. As tiny as miserable it is, one actually bloomed!
Don't ask me the name of the plant. It happened so long ago I can't even remember it already.
